A collection of different type based projects; ostensibly to improve Adobe Illustrator skills, but also allowing the research of some pretty interesting topics.

In the first, I put together a type-based illustration inspired by Si Scott (having recently discovered his work).

The second was produced after two essay style research projects into Josef Müller-Brockmann and David Carson - designers with two opposing approaches to communication. Our task was to then present the content of one essay in the style of the subject of the other - I took Müller-Brockmann’s words and used the visual language made famous by David Carson to communicate their message.

The last is a fun project - a self portrait constructed only using the character set of my then favourite font, Baskerville.
